How a DELCORA-Aqua partnership benefits you

Statement from DELCORA in response to apparent complaint

DELCORA has issued the following statement in response to an apparent complaint filed against the authority:

“The Delaware County Regional Water Quality Control Authority (DELCORA) understands from several sources that a complaint was filed in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas today, despite not yet being served with the complaint. DELCORA understands that the complaint seeks to nullify the Rate Stabilization Fund established for the benefit of ratepayers.  DELCORA asserts in the strongest possible terms that the complaint has no merit.   Further and most importantly, the complaint would hurt ratepayers, as the Rate Stabilization Fund was established in an open and transparent process to stabilize rates for their benefit. As noted in the Trust documentation, the funds in the Trust are to be used to cap rate increases placed upon each rate payer at 3% a year, rather than the previously anticipated 10% increases, until the funds in the Trust are exhausted.”
